Advanced Legal Writing: Advocacy

Description

This course equips students with audience-specific writing skills for both effective advocacy and impartial presentation. Students learn techniques for editing and revising their work to make it concise, clear, and interesting. They draft a number of short litigation-focused legal documents based on a realistic case file, including a client letter, memorandum, law and motion briefs, and pleadings. Students are expected to complete weekly exercises.
