Stanford Law School Mock Trial Program

Overview

The Mock Trial Program provides an opportunity for students to develop and showcase their oral advocacy skills. Interested students try out for the program during the early part of the fall semester by delivering a short opening statement. Students are invited to join the program and teams are created. Invited students then receive intensive training on how to conduct each stage of a trial. In the spring semester, the program hosts an invitational tournament that gives Stanford teams a chance to compete against teams from around the country. Teams represent Stanford by traveling to compete at various regional and national tournaments during the following weeks and months.
